Turnacle
Turnacle by Thomas Visser is a puzzle gaming app that offering two game modes, six levels of difficulty and an unlimited amount of puzzles! When playing Turnacle’s classic mode, you’ll solve a sequence of ten grids as fast as you possibly can. This isn’t an easy task since the grids get much harder at the end, and you’re rushing as the timer runs out! In Turnacle’s puzzle mode, there is no timer, so no need to rush. This mode is more of a thinking game. Take your time, and think each move through. You’ll be shown the largest grids, and you’ll have a limited amount of moves to solve them with! Use them wisely; you don’t get very many!
Turnacle’s grids have up to 66 discs in 6 six different colors. You’ll have to rotate the discs to line up the colors with discs next to them. When you have all of the discs lined up correctly, you have solved that grid! To rotate a disc 90 degrees, just tap it once. To move it back to the way it was, tap it four times and so on. The classic mode offers beginner, easy, medium and hard levels. The puzzle mode offers small and medium options. Turnacle gets pretty challenging as you progress in the game. I would recommend it to the Sudoku player who’s looking for something a little less stressful, lol!
iTunes lists Turnacle’s features as such:
- Two challenging game modes: focus on speed or pure puzzle skills
- Achievements: rewarding skillful and innovative play
- Unlimited puzzles from a handcrafted puzzle generator
- Resume a game from the iCloud: lose your phone and still be able to finish your game
