Sega Greets the New Year with Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed iOS Game
Sega has just released Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Google Play. Available now from the iTunes App Store for $4.99, this new racing game lets you race as Sonic as well as other legendary All-Stars as with previous Sonic racing games.
What sets Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed apart from the other Sonic racers for iOS is the fact that this game will let you speed across land, sea and air, and then have the ability to transform your vehicles mid-race. This means you can change from racing a car to a boat to a plane anytime during the race. Seriously, I can’t wait to see how Sega will pull off the animation on this one.
The game is packed with tons of features and includes more than 10 legendary racers upon launch. Sega promises to bring in more All-Star racers soon. There are also several dynamic tracks which change from land, to sea, to air all through a race. There are also alternate routes to discover and power-ups to collect.
The game also features World Tour for gaming on the go, daily and weekly challenges, multiplayer mode (four player local matches or synchronous and asynchronous online multiplayer races) and, of course, Facebook and Game Center integration. For game controls, you’ll be able to use either tilt or touch gestures to control your racing car. In addition, both the Android and iOS 7 versions support third-party controllers.
