Scramble With Friends Free
If you love Words With Friends, you are sure to love Scramble With Friends Free. Like most Zynga games, it does not disappoint! I’ve heard about this great word scramble game for a while now, and once I downloaded it, I wished I had done it a long time ago! It is a blast! There’s a free version and a paid version; I opted to get the free version, because the paid version is $2.99, which is a little pricey to pay for a game, at east for my taste. So, I’ve been playing Scramble With Friends Free all weekend long, just about non-stop! It’s seriously a blast and even a little bit of a rush.
Scramble With Friends Free is played between two players. Your opponent can be chosen from your Facebook friend list, or even someone random player from across the world. Obviously, it’s a word scramble game, where you try to find words out of a bunch of letters. You are working with 16 different letters, four across and four up and down. Each game played between you and your opponent is a series of three. If you start the game, you play first – then your opponent goes next. This is done three times, adding up your scores for each game played. At the end, once you both have completed all three games, your scores are tallied and the winner is announced! The games are timed giving you two full minutes to find as many words as possible. Before each game, you are given one free power-up, and also offered to purchase one additional power-up for one coin. The power-ups include:
- Freeze: freezes time.
- Inspiration: shows you where three words are.
- Scramble: moves around all the letters on your board, positioning them into different spots, allowing you to find more words that you couldn’t make out before.
Each game played costs you one coin. You earn coins over time. I’m not sure how long it takes, but it’s something close to one coin every 15 minutes or so. You can buy more coins with an in-app purchase, or you can wait for your coins to add up over time. It does take a while for them to add up, because if you’ve been using two coins per game (which would mean you’re buying the extra power up each time), you can go through them pretty fast. Seeing as you roughly earn four an hour, which can be used up in a total of four minutes, it’s nothing! You might want to wait until they really add up!
Scramble With Friends Free is a blast, and I highly recommend it! Since I’ve been playing so much, I did notice that after a few games, I started to recognize the same boards, which was a little annoying seeing as I already knew where the words were! I also thought the ads were very annoying. They show an ad after every two-minute game played, and like Words With Friends, you have to wait a few seconds before you can even close out the ad! Absolutely annoying! I like the game so much, that I’m really thinking about downloading the paid version, because I don’t know how much longer I can handle these constant, repetitious ads! I’m wondering if the paid version would change up the boards more often, too? Hopefully, it does! Scramble With Friends Free is most definitely worth the download! The two-minute games give you a great rush, pushing you to think quickly and act on it!
