RegoRego – bookmark your favorite places by MakaluMedia Inc is a bookmarking app that can be useful to the café hopper, journalist or just a regular traveler who likes to take note of places they’ve been!  Rego is a simple app, used for a noteworthy purpose.  Not only is the app used to bookmark places you’ve been, but it can also be used to mark places you’ve never been and maybe only dream of going to!  You can add detail with pictures and notes!  Organization is made easy by separating your bookmarks into collections.  I have three collections that include “Loved It”, “Want It” and “Only Dream of It”!  My “Loved It” collection bookmarks places I’ve already been.  My “Want It” collection bookmarks places I’m actually going; either a trip to these locations is within my reach, or I already have a trip planned!  My “Only Dream of It” collection bookmarks places I probably won’t ever get to go to, but I still enjoy dreaming of!  What’s a life without dreams?

RegoTo add a bookmark location to Rego, you have to use a map and zoom in and out.  Although you can zoom out so much so that you can see a world wide map, I still wish you could just type in an address.  It would make adding bookmarks 1,000 times easier!  You can easily delete, edit and share bookmarks by using the forward tab in the upper right hand corner of the screen.  Rego is free to download, but only allows you to bookmark ten locations.  If you want to add more, you’ll need to make an in-app purchase of $0.99, which gives you unlimited bookmarks and full photo filters for the pictures you add!  That’s a great price in my opinion!  If you’re a frequent traveler or maybe someone who just dreams of traveling, Rego is an app you should definitely check out!

iTunes describes Rego like so:

  • BOOKMARK PLACES. Where you are, where you want to go, where you‘ve been. It‘s up to you.
  • CAPTURE MOMENTS. Record those memories with notes and beautiful photos.
  • MAKE COLLECTIONS. Find and browse your places easily by organizing them in collections.

People use Rego to plan and journal their travels, keep track of their favorite restaurants, cafes and take-aways, and quickly remember that interesting place that was “around here somewhere”.  And Rego is private; it’s about your places.

WHO IS REGO FOR?
Travelers, guides, cafe hoppers, outdoorsmen, real estate agents, researchers — everybody will find a use for Rego!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Rego is a free download, and limited to 10 places and one photo filter. Unlock Rego with an in-app purchase of $0.99 during our launch sale (normally $2.99) for unlimited places and access to all photo filters.

Version 1.1 of Rego, which has been available for a few days now, does let you add places by searching for an address, or a name — the search results come from Apple’s and Foursquare’s location databases, and also your Contacts.
