OscarsOscars by ABC Digital is an app that lets you follow the all things Oscar related! Whether it’s finding out who’s nominated for best costume design, actress in supporting role, actor in leading role or even directing, you’ll get to see them all!  Interested in the nominees for film editing, sound mixing, makeup/hairstyling or visual effects?  That’s all there, too!  If you’re someone who hasn’t missed watching the Oscars for as long as you can remember, it’s a given that you’ll love this app!  What about those of you who aren’t so die-hard?  Maybe you’re interested in knowing who wins, but couldn’t force yourself to sit through four hours of them?  Oscars is meant for you, too!  Go ahead and check the app after the winners are chosen, and you’ll get your answers!  It’s easy, quick and informative!  The app even has a tab called “My Picks”, where you can choose who you think will win.  Oscars also offers Red Carpet footage of the hottest couples, sexiest stars, evolution of style, men’s fashion and so much more!

OscarsOscars has a link to Facebook and Twitter, which makes you think the app would support the two social networks.  Well, it doesn’t work as one would assume.  You can click the Twitter link to follow “The Academy” for Oscars updates, but you don’t need this app to do that.  Clicking that link just takes you to Twitter from Safari.  It’s much easier just to open the app and look up “The Academy”.  Clicking the Facebook link just takes you to your Facebook home page!  What?!?!  So, basically there’s no Facebook support for posting your picks!  I assume that’s what it’s supposed to do, but it doesn’t.  Oscars is still good for getting info on the nominees and winners, as well as Red Carpet pictures, but definitely doesn’t help out in the social media aspect.
