As always a few words for the app developer RoboNacho systems:
Your goal in this multiplayer maze game is to help all of the kittens that are lost in the maze make it back to the momma cat at the end of the maze as fast as you can. You’ll start off with Granny as your main character, but you’ll quickly be able to unlock other characters once you start playing and winning rewards. Play against other people all over the world as you race to the finish line through the yarn balls and garden mazes in this truly unique game play experience. You can play in single player mode or multi player mode and race other players on your device.
I am a pretty big fan of maze games but something about this game leaves me with a sense of lacking. The main problem here is you can only play one level until you earn enough coins to unlock another one. That makes the replay value of this game very low. To be perfectly honest I burned myself out on this game before I earned enough coins to unlock level two. Since there is only three levels in total this is one of the apps that someone plays a few times and quickly moves on to something else. I always say the goal of an app developer has to be to keep them playing and Meow Maze just doesn’t get that done.
The actual game play is pretty cool. One moves the granny character around Meow maze finding the kittens and getting them back to the momma cat before time expires. The actual challenge of that is pretty good, but again with just the one level to pursue around this app gets a little tired a little too quickly. Granted people who are better at these types of games than I am may be able to quickly move on to the other levels and characters, and that may wind up keeping them playing meow maze.
I really hate to rail on apps, and at the end of the day I am just one guy and you may have a different experience with an app that I do. Once again, this apps does have a pretty cool challenge, but along with that we see pedestrian graphics and sound F/X and the simple goal of collecting coins for a three level game doesn’t make a great enough challenge to keep the player engaged.
