Learn Spanish by MindSnacks is an educational app geared towards teaching the Spanish language through nine different games. Sounds a little less hardcore than Rosetta Stone? Of course it is, but learning never came easier!
When you first start using Learn Spanish, you’ll be asked to best describe your Spanish, whether it’s nonexistent, “jumbled up words without any structure”, “halting sentences with OK grammar” or fast and confident. If it’s nonexistent, you’ll start off learning simple things like numbers! If it’s “jumbled up words without any structure”, you’ll start with body parts! If it’s “halting sentences with OK grammar”, your first lesson will be in foods. Lastly, if you speak Spanish fast and confident, your first lesson will be on more difficult things like vacation time. With any lesson you do, you can review it ahead of time by tapping the open book icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen. I really love that Learn Spanish can teach at any level, making it an app for anyone!
Learn Spanish teaches lessons through games, so learning is never stressful. The app is free to download, but only includes one free lesson. You can upgrade your app at any time to play all the lessons. Purchasing all 50 lessons costs an in-app purchase of $4.99, which is pricey. I guess I don’t think it’s too bad seeing as how Learn Spanish includes over 1,000 words and phrases. I’d definitely recommend trying it out. It’s actually fun, which is something I never thought I’d say about learning a foreign language!
