New Jailbreak Crashes Weather App on iPhone and Adds One to iPad

Well it seems as if the new Evasion jailbreak didn’t go quite as smooth as expected.  While the  saw incredible success with over 100,000 downloads in the first 10 minutes of availability, it does seem to have an effect on Apple’s stock Weather app in iOS 6. On the iPhone, the app instantly crashes. The really interesting thing though is that the iPad gets a new weather app.

Don’t get too excited though it’s an old Weather app unfortunately, this Weather app isn’t iPad-optimized. It’s an old, pixelated, iPhone-sized version that looks far from crisp on the iPad’s Retina display.

pod2g has already responded to the iPhone issues and let people know that the team is working on a solution that should be ready soon.
