MyTwinkleColors by Papa’s Frog is an educational app that teaches your kids their colors while they enjoy coloring many different sketches! With MyTwinkleColors, kids can choose to sketch their own drawing on different colored note pads using nine different colored pencils! There’s even an eraser that can be used! As your child taps each colored pencil to draw with, MyTwinkleColors says the name of the color chosen, giving their color-learning skills a nice boost! At the bottom of the screen, in between the colored pencils, there’s an icon of a star. Tapping this icon, makes stars pop up onto your screen! It’s very cute, giving the app an interactive feel! Besides the many colored notepads, kids can also choose between 18 different sketches to color! These sketches look like they were just pulled out of a coloring book – showing many different images including an apple, cupcake, car, bug, bunny and many other cute items any child would enjoy coloring. Through an in-app purchase, you can choose to buy more drawings in what the app calls Sketch Packs. MyTwinkleColors offers four different Sketch Packs. Each pack can be purchased for $0.99. Below is a list of each pack and what kind of sketches it includes.
- Sketch Pack 1 – Includes 27 sketches of fun shapes, cuddly animals, and yummy fruit.
- Sketch Pack 2 – Includes 27 sketches of cars and trucks, assorted veggies and balls.
- Sketch Pack 3 – Includes 27 sketches of princess accessories, gowns and sweet desserts.
- Sketch Pack 4 – Includes 27 sketches of dinosaurs, sea creatures and pretty flowers.
Although MyTwinkleColors offers plenty of sketches that come free with the app, I do think it’s nice that you can purchase more! My little girl just loves MyTwinkleColors! In fact, about a month ago, she had colored all 18 of the sketches that the app included! I was so proud at how she has improved on not only staying in the lines, but also knowing the names of each color! I bought her the Sketch Pack 3. Since it’s full of “all things princess”, she wants to use MyTwinkleColors – all the time!
Playing Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star as background music, your little one is sure to enjoy this creative app! I highly recommend MyTwinkleColors for anyone with a preschooler or kindergartener that loves to color!
