Chef is an iPhone app that gives you access to over 6,000 recipes, as well as the needed grocery list with just a click. I love that about this app! There are three sections in this app – the grocery list, index of recipes and a list of recipes submitted by others.
Once you have added the recipes you want into your account, you will find that the recipe also provides a grocery list. With this list, you can arrange the ingredients in any order! I loved that it let me edit my list! At first, I arranged them from the ingredients I had on hand to the ones I still needed to pick up. Then I arranged them again in the order I would pick them at the store. This made my shopping easy and efficient; I didn’t forget anything! Your recipes can be arranged in any order from the type of cuisine, alphabetically or any way you want! This app can make you so much more efficient in your cooking and shopping!

Build your own cookbook with the recipes you enter along with any of the recipes other chefs have uploaded. Once you find a recipe you like you can add all its ingredients to your grocery list with just a press of a button. The grocery list will automatically sort your items into the order you come across them in YOUR grocery store. Just configure Chef by telling it the order of the sections, and Chef will automatically determine which section each of the items belong to. Alternatively you can view your grocery list by the recipe they came from or you can choose to move them around any way you like. Then check off each item as you buy them. With a press of a button you can clear the whole list, or just the ones you’ve checked. When the time comes to cook the meal, use Chef to set up to four different timers so your food comes out perfect.

Cons:
- You can’t submit a recipe to their list through the application; that has to be done through their website.
