Your Ideal Weight
Your Ideal Weight by Movisol is a great way to find out if you’re overweight, underweight or just perfect. It’s pretty easy to know if you’re overweight, but no quite as easy to know if you’re underweight. For those of your who are at a perfect weight, wouldn’t it be nice to know that? Your Ideal Weight estimates what you should weigh based on your BMI (Body Mass Index). Your BMI is figured from your sex, age and height. Your Ideal Weight doesn’t just take into consideration a doctor’s ideal weight for you but also the average person’s widely desired weight! For example, when I put in my information to get my BMI, Your Ideal Weight told me that my ideal weight recommended by a doctor is 107lb 13oz – 145lb 10oz, which is quite the range! It’s only fair to have a large range of what is considered healthy, because people’s body structures are completely different than one another! You could be teeny tiny or just have big bones! Below that range, Your Ideal Weight listed the ideal weight (according to what people with my height, weight and age would like to have) as 115lb 13 oz. After that, Your Ideal Weight listed my BMI as 21.79, which landed me in a normal BMI range. The app listed five different ranges: severely underweight, underweight, normal, overweight and obese. It was so interesting!
Your Ideal Weight is just packed with information that you most likely don’t know. I love it! It’s super easy to use, and it’s free! They do offer one in-app purchase of $2.99 that gives you a weight tracker, which allows you to keep track of your weight change and BMI progress. This is extremely useful for someone who is dieting and wants to see his or her progress. The app also features a calorie table, which is helpful. I would definitely recommend downloading Your Ideal Weight! It’s free to download, easy to use and filled with great health facts you really should know about your body!
iTunes explains Your Ideal Weight like so:
YOUR IDEAL WEIGHT is an app that estimates what you should ideally weigh, based on your Body Mass Index (what doctors recommend) and what people would like to weigh, based on height and age.
The Plus+ version of this app includes a simple and intuitive interface that allows you to keep track of your weight change and BMI progress, as well as establishing a target date to achieve your goal. Keeping a healthy weight has never been so simple!
Unsure of what Body Mass Index is? It is a reference index (invented by Belgian scientist Jacques Quetelet and adopted by the World Health Organisation) based on your weight and height used to evaluate the risks associated with excess weight in adults.
Take notice: If you are a child, a bodybuilder or pregnant, this app will not give you accurate advice. If you are neither of these, download this app and check out what you should really weigh! Plus, check our calorie table!
