Icomania
From the creators of 4 Pics 1 Word comes a brand new game called Icomania! Unlike 4 Pics 1 Word, you won’t be guessing a word from similarities in four pictures. Instead, you’ll be guessing a word based on one partially made out icon! The icons come from just about everything – movies, logos, celebrities, cartoons – you name it!
Icomania by Games for Friends GmbH doesn’t have a tutorial, but it works just like 4 Pics 1 Word. You’re shown a hangman like set up with blocks for each letter the word consists of. Below the blocks, there are letters you should use to help figure out the word! If you’re thinking of a word but it can’t be made from the allotted letters, you’re thinking of the wrong word! Let’s say the icon you were trying to figure out was “Superman”. You would have eight spots for letters. And, you would have all the letters you need to make the word Superman listed in your allotted letters near the bottom of the screen! If you know how to play 4 Pics 1 Word, you already know how to play Icomania!
Above Icomania’s mysterious icons, you’re shown the category it falls in, which is very helpful. If the word you were looking for were “Facebook”, the category would be “brand”. If it were “Batman”, the category would be “character”. If it were “France”, it would be “country”. If it were “Shrek”, it would be “TV & Movies”. I’m sure you get the gist! Sure the cartoon movies take a total of one second to figure out, but some of the brands are nearly impossible! If you just don’t know what it is, you can use cheats that either place a letter in the correct spot, or that completely eliminate a letter that isn’t used. Once you figure out enough words, you move onto the next level and earn yourself some cheats! The levels get harder and harder, so be prepared for a challenge! If you enjoy 4 Pics 1 Word, you’re going to love Icomania! It’s even better, in my opinion!
