HISTORY Here by A&E Television Networks Mobile is a pretty fitting app for any history buff out there! It’s an interactive guide to thousands and thousands of historic landmarks across the country! This app is created in conjunction with the HISTORY CHANNEL, so it’s promised to be the real deal! You’ll be stunned at the detailed history that’s all around you!
HISTORY Here’s migration is easy! Simply turn on your location, and let the app detect the history beneath your feet! If you don’t want to list your location, maybe because you want to find out the history at a location you’ll be vacationing in next week. You can do that, too! Simply enter a city or zip code. Your results will be displayed by distance from your direct location or the city or zip you entered. Not only will you be able to see the names, addresses and distances of specific historic landmarks surrounding you, but you can also read about them! That’s still not all! Some of them even have videos that tell about that individual historic location! Yes, all this is directly within HISTORY Here! Now, in addition to the written out list, you have two other options – a satellite or map view! When on the satellite view, you’ll see little red pegs tagging all the historical spots around you! The map view is basically the same as the satellite view, both having the little red pegs, with the only difference being that the map view shows cities and towns – like you’d see on a road map. Go ahead and mark the places you want to checkout in your “favorites”, so you’re sure not to miss a single one! Calling all history buffs: HISTORY Here is a must have app!
