If you liked Fruit Ninja on the iPhone, you are going to LOVE it on the iPad!  Fruit Ninja HD By Halfbrick Studios was created just for the iPad and it’s even in HD!  It will blow you away.  The graphics are almost to die for!  NY Times said, “On the iPad’s big screen, this game will give you more of a jolt than Angry Birds.”  It’s really that good.

If you haven’t played Fruit Ninja before, the game is a worldwide phenomenon – having over 20 million total downloads.  It’s a strategic, action game where fruit appears on your screen and you use your finger to slice it – NINJA-style.  Slicing is done by simply swiping your finger across a piece of fruit.  Making sure you have the concept, Fruit Ninja HD begins by throwing single pieces of fruit up into the air to be sliced – later leading up to multiple pieces being thrown while you try to slice as many as you can before they fall!  If you let three pieces of un-sliced fruit fall, the game is over.  You get bonus points from slashing multiple pieces of fruit at the same time.  Once you’ve got that down and you begin to really progress, bombs are thrown into the mix!  It’s becomes more challenging since multiple fruits are still being thrown – needing to be sliced, while being mixed in with bombs that can NOT be touched. If you touch one of these bombs, the game immediately ends.  With Fruit Ninja HD, you can use up to eight fingers at a time for your slicing and slashing needs!  Talk about major fruit carnage!

Fruit Ninja HD’s Classic mode, the one mentioned above, ends when you either hit a bomb or miss too many pieces of fruit.  They also offer a Zen mode in which no bombs are included.  This mode is completely different being more of an arcade version.  You get 90 seconds to slice through as many pieces of fruit as you can, then giving you a score that you can try to beat each time you play.  Both modes can be played with two players sitting at each end of the iPad.  Since the game’s so high speed already, it’s pretty exciting playing with someone who’s sitting right across from you!  Classic mode even lets you send a bomb into your opponent’s game!

The graphics of Fruit Ninja HD are insane!  When you slash a piece of fruit, it’s sliced in front of your eyes while you watch as both halves fall to the ground.  With each strawberry, mango, banana or melon slashed – juice from each piece splatters to the wall with an ideal look of what you would really see if you were to slash a juicy orange – in the air – with a sword!  As an after effect, there is also sword-slash-marks left on the wooded wall (which is your backdrop).  Hopefully, my description makes you able to imagine these graphics.  Even if you don’t like the game (which isn’t possible), the graphics are enough reason to play it!  They are unlike any graphics I’ve seen before.  The sound effects are pretty awesome, as well – making you literally feel like a ninja warrior who’s a slicing and slashing master!

You won’t be able to get enough of the squishy, splatty, juicy destruction of every kind of fruit!  Fruit Ninja HD is so addictive, always leaving you wanting more.
