Craigslist Pro lets you search by location and category, while showing the results with thumbnail photos and item descriptions.  The app features a GPS auto-locator that quickly finds areas close by!  Apple called Craigslist Pro the “Top Lifestyle App of the Year”.  The New York Times said, “Craigslist Pro lets you search Craigslist much more easily than the web site…” Can the app really be better than the actual website?  The answer is yes, and I will tell you why!  Craigslist Pro allows you to search through multiple cities at a time; the website only lets you search one city at a time!  This unique feature offered solely in the app is a real push to purchase the app.  Obviously, being able to do just ONE search rather than three or four identical searches can save you a lot of time and effort.  This is one of the few apps I’ve seen (that goes along with a website) where the app offers features the website does not.  Since it’s almost ALWAYS the other way around, the app is ultimately impressive.

The iPhone integration for Craigslist Pro is impeccable!  On the home page, you can select the location(s) you want to search and the category for your search: for sale, housing, services, community, gigs, jobs, personals, resumes, etc.  Craigslist Pro even includes the entire adult section of Craigslist, which does make the app rated 17+ since it gives unfiltered access.  So basically, if you can find it on the website, you can find it on the app!  You can add settings to your search: preview photos, listings with photo, search titles only, shake to search, exclude nearby listings, sort by recent/best match/low price/high price.  The app gets so detailed!  I had chose to search under jobs>admin/office jobs.  Later on, I was adjusting the settings and noticed that I could even choose if I was interested in extra types of an admin/office jobs!!  The website doesn’t offer that either!  I could check the options, if any, I was interested in: telecommute, contract, internship, part-time and non-profit.  This was great for me, because I would be interested in something part-time!  I saved all the jobs I was interested in to my Favorites.  When I was done with my search, I went back to my Favorites and sent the emails out regarding each job!  Overall, Craigslist Pro is the real deal!  It really is better than the website!  Check it out; you won’t be disappointed!
