CocoPPa
CocoPPa by SPiRE Inc is an app that has stormed through the app store currently ranking as the number two free app! The app allows you to completely decorate your home screen. Cool, right? Doing so is done through three steps. First, you’ll choose your favorite image among the plenteous icon images. Second, you’ll select the type of link you want to assign to the icon you chose. Third, you’ll choose the “Add to Home Screen” option that’s listed on the bottom button bar. To get even more creative, you can download your own icons, wallpapers and stamps to do the same.
CocoPPa has an extremely busy layout, making migration difficult. I felt lost the very second I opened the app. There’s so much on the screen, you don’t know what to look at! Another bad thing about the app is that it’s supposed to be a “short cut”, but it actually takes a lot longer. Instead of just opening up an app, you have to open the shortcut, which goes through the “short cut” app icon, and then it slowly goes to the original app. Annoying! But, let’s be real. We all know how these apps work. It’s meant to make icons and homepages pretty. And, that it definitely does! There’s a super beautiful Twitter icon I HAD to HAVE! It had the original Twitter bird in all rainbow colors! Super pretty! Is the beauty worth the annoyance of taking extra long to open up an app? Possibly. That’s up to you. Check it out and see. CocoPPa is free, so you’ve got nothing to lose.

What can you do with CocoPPa?
- You can place your favorite pictures as a “shortcut icon” on your iPhone home screen!
- You can download wallpapers free!
- You can download cute stamps usable in LINE, Kakao Talk or other online chat apps.
- You can request the material production directly to the creator!
Controls are easy, please follow the below 3 steps.
Step 1: Select an icon you like.
Step 2: Choose a link destination you want to activate with the icon.
Step 3: Select the “add to home screen” via Safari.
Examples of functions that are available by the shortcut icon:
1. You can activate iOS apps
2. You can make a phone call to your pre-assigned friends / families
3. You can jump to a web bookmark.
You can choose whether to make it public or private when submitting. Post your photos of your loved one and family in Private mode if you don’t want everyone to be see them. Post icons after selecting “public” if you want to show them to everyone. The “public” pictures will require review by our staff.
