Clear by Realmac Software is a list-keeping tool that was created to be simple and satisfying.  When it comes to an app I download to do a job, I do have to say – I like them to be simple.  I just deleted a flashlight app I have on my phone, because it had too many settings.  I want a flashlight app that simply turns on a bright light when I need it.  I don’t want it to flash, blink or have numerous brightness settings!  Obviously, I want the brightest light it has, and that’s it!  I feel this same way about my navigation app.  I want it simple.  Well, Clear was made to be simple.

Clear has easy instructions on how to use the app:
Swipe to the right to complete
Swipe to the left to delete
Tap and hold to pick me up
Pull down to create an item
Try pinching two rows apart
Try pinching vertically to shut
Pull up to clear

When creating a new list, you can name the list; then begin adding.  I seem to always have a to-do list.  So when I heard about Clear, I immediately thought about managing my to-do list.  This was the first list I made on Clear.  I have to mention my favorite thing about this app, is how the items on your lists are prioritized by color.  Items less important or urgent are listed at the bottom of your list in yellow.  Items most important are listed at the very top in red.  Items in the middle are in orange.  You can arrange the items on your list by simply dragging them wherever you want them according to importance.  When I was finished, my to-do list looked like this.

(Dark Red) Pick up prescription
(Red) Find shoes for wedding on Saturday
(Light Red) Go to bank
(Dark Orange) Send out mom’s birthday gift
(Orange) Pick up more fish oil
(Light Orange) Wash kitchen floor
(Dark Yellow) Hang up mailbox
(Yellow) Get pictures on camera developed
(Light Yellow) Get hand-washing laundry done

Since I’ve downloaded Clear, I’ve found that I enjoy marking things off my list!  I list seeing a list completed, and I feel good about it.  I love the simplicity of the app and how well it works for its purpose.
