Blood Alcohol CalculatorUnless you have a breathalyzer in your pocket, there’s no way for you to figure out your blood alcohol content before you get into your car to drive home.  A general rule would be never to drink and drive, but we all know it’s not as clear-cut as that.  If you just had a glass of wine with your dinner, it would be taking it too far to leave your car at the restaurant and take a taxi home.  When I go to a party and plan to drive home, I won’t let myself have more than two drinks.  I’ll have them right when I get to the party, and I will stay for a few hours after I’ve had them.  To be honest, if I left the party immediately after the two drinks, I still wouldn’t be over the limit, but I like to be extra safe.  I recently came across an app that could be used for the less responsible adults called Blood Alcohol Calculator (BAC) with Dexterity Test by Appy Guys LLC, and boy is it a kicker!

Blood Alcohol CalculatorBlood Alcohol Calculator (BAC) with Dexterity Test is meant to help prevent drunk driving by educating people on their approximate blood alcohol content.  Of course the app isn’t precise, and you should never count on an iPhone app to let you know whether you should drive after drinking.  However, I do find this app educational.  Blood Alcohol Calculator (BAC) with Dexterity Test lets you choose you gender, weight, number of drinks you’ve had and the total hours it’s been since you’ve had your first drink.  From that information, Blood Alcohol Calculator (BAC) with Dexterity Test will calculate your approximate BAC.  It’s pretty cool.  Again, I would never count on an iPhone app to decide whether you should be driving or not, but it’s still informative.  There’s also a dexterity test that would be like one of the tests a cop would give you when he pulled you over.  I find that test a little hard to do even when I’m sober, lol.  If you’re interested in knowing your limits, I’d suggest downloading Blood Alcohol Calculator (BAC) with Dexterity Test.  It’s definitely useful!

iTunes describes Blood Alcohol Calculator (BAC) with Dexterity Test like so:

The Blood Alcohol Calculator (BAC) with Dexterity Test is a tool to be used to help prevent drunk driving by educating individuals to their approximate BAC and assessing their motor dexterity.

BAC uses the Widmark formula, a scientific approach, and the user can easily get an estimate of their blood alcohol content based on their data input of male/female, weight, the number of drinks, and how long (the number of hours) the user has been drinking or since their last drink. The dexterity test on the app challenges the users ability to check their motor skills/ dexterity.

The Blood Alcohol Calculator (BAC) is for entertainment purposes only and the results may not be accurate.
