Apple Announces WWDC 2014
Apple has just announced the dates for their annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) for 2014, the event will take place June 2-6 at the Moscone West convention center in San Francisco. At the same time the Cupertino company announced that applications for tickets for the event will run from today through Monday, April 7 starting at 10:00 AM. PDT. Tickets will be issued to attendees via a random lottery.
Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing says:
“We have the most amazing developer community in the world and have a great week planned for them. Every year the WWDC audience becomes more diverse, with developers from almost every discipline you can imagine and coming from every corner of the globe. We look forward to sharing with them our latest advances in iOS and OS X so they can create the next generation of great apps.”
If you are interested in entering the lottery for tickets then you need to remember that Apple requires membership in one of their paid developer programs. However before you rush out and buy a ticket you need to know that membership must have been present since before the announcement. If you apply for a ticket you will know whether you got one or not by Monday, April 7 at 5:00 PM. PDT.
As in previous years it is expected that Apple will kickoff the conference with a Keynote, and of course we will be there to tell you about all the great new things Apple announced! So keep checking back for exact details on the Keynote date and time.
