Android L Emulator Means You Need No Nexus Handset

Much has been said and done about the recently announced Android L over at Google I/O 2014, where we do know that Android L will be released soon on select Android-powered handsets. For instance, the Android L Preview system image has already rolled out for the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7, while those who own the HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7) will have to wait for a maximum of three monthsthe time of the Android L launch before gaining their hands on it. The question is, if you do not have a Nexus phone or tablet, what are you going to do to satiate your curiosity about Android L? Enter the Android L emulator.

This Android L emulator allows you to set it up in a virtual device on a computer. The steps to do so are pretty much a no-brainer, where after downloading and installing the Android SDK, you will have all of the relevant and necessary tools at your disposal, Eclipse included, in order to help you conjure up Android apps of your own.

Do ensure that you have installed all the relevant bits of Android L manually in order for the emulator to run and work like a charm. I suppose if you like what you see, then it should not be too difficult to make the purchase decision when it comes to hardware.
