Android 4.2.2 Rolling Out Now for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Verizon

Just over a month after Android 4.2.2 was made available for almost every other Nexus device out there, those of you who have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Verizon can finally get in on the fun. The update is supposedly rolling out right now over the air, but since these kinds of updates always seem to reach different phones at different times, you can also download the update file manually from Google, and then flash it to your device.

It’s a minor update, with some Bluetooth fixes and other minor performance fixes and enhancements, but still it’s always nice to have the latest and greatest software. However, the long delay between the time that the software became available, and the time that Verizon thought it was good enough to authorize for its customers, demonstrates precisely why the Android fragmentation problem has grown so huge.
